How To Play The Game-Of-The-Scene
The Game-of-the-Scene is a comedic technique that is widely used to establish patterns and raise the stake in an Improv scene.
In this format, what happens essentially is that you find an unusual moment created in a 'normal' base reality of your scene. You take that unusual moment and play the same pattern out in two more scenarios of the same story. With each pattern, its preferable to raise the stakes.

How To Support & Yes And..
Yes And.. these two are the by far the two most important words you will come across in all your Improv travels. To say 'yes and..' is to offer your full and unflinching support to your scene partner. To say yes is to acknowledge their idea and then to add something more to their idea makes the idea stand out all the more. This is how you can not only build something together with your scene partner but also make them look good over and over again

How To Listen Better
Listening is so much more than just hearing the words someone else says. To listen is to give your presence to another person and understand making them feel valued and even understanding what they are really trying to tell you. Improv makes listening a necessity which helps sharpen your focus, presence of mind and gratitude towards another person.

How To Respond To People's Energies
Often times both on stage and in real life, we find ourselves either projecting too much of our energy to someone or we are the one's receiving the same Specially if we are the former, it can overwhelm our scene partner who are likely to bring their own subdued energy on stage. Identifying, understanding and adapting to people's energy levels becomes important so that both you and your partner feel comfortable with each other.

How To Be Inspired By Audience Suggestions
Though this may be an often overlooked area but how you can be inspired by an audience goes a long way in valuing the audience. It is always better to find a meaningful spin to the audience's suggestion irrespective of how simple their suggestion is.
The more in-depth you are able to take the suggestion, the better will even be the overall story you improvise on stage.

How To Improvise Song Lyrics
One big myth about singing in improv is that it requires one to be a singer. One only has to become confident about the technique of improvising a song and maybe have a little capacity to understand music beats and rhythm. Then they are good to have a blast on stage improvising songs left, right and centre.
This is a brilliant skill to have because with an added element of music, your focus and performance areas get heightened, thereby giving you more opportunity to develop those skills further.

Navigating through Non-Supportive Moments
Negating, blocking, turning attention to things that are not in the present moment, turning attention to things offstage are varying degrees of being non-supportive in one way or another. Here, I take two examples of non-supportive moments and offer suggestions on how you can deal with them on stage.

Asking questions in Improv
Here I talk about questions in an improv scene. For me, it is perfectly fine to ask question as long as they convey your emotional state besides the questions also contributing with detail.
